Vale Lysette 3/6/09
Sadly, Lysette passed away this morning, Wednesday 3rd June at 8:20am EST.
An excerpt from one of her nurses:
Lysette died of complications to accute myelogenous leukemia. We thought it important for you to know that she was not alone. Almost the entire pediatric floor, 7 patients and 6 staff, as well as Dr. Rhasaad, myself, and 2 on floor nurses were with her throughout the night and early morning.
Lysette was only with our kin for a few short weeks, but in that time her presence was definitely felt. Her uber power leveling, and soloing skills, sense of humour, and uncanny ability to go afk for long periods at a time, saying "just leave me here", in the middle of an agro spot, and not getting attacked at all! Quite the talent
Lysette, we hope you viewed us as your friends and your support. We loved having your easygoing company just as much. We will miss you. And you shall always remain in our kin, on our list of members, and forever as a Windrider!
/salute

In the last few days, when
In the last few days, when Whynnter and I were playing, her two favorite things to do were to jump off Trestlebridge and drink from the Inn League Keg to see where she would end up. I think as a sort of memorial we should all get together and do both. Let's get as many Windriders (and friends) together as we can. I've always said that when I die, I don't want a funeral. I just want everyone to get together and talk about what a great guy I was and laugh about all the stupid things I did, and maybe drink a toast to absent friends. So I think that's as good a send off as we can provide.
Crushed
When Lysette joined, she was very nervous about joining a kin. She explained that she did not have much time and would not be able to make level 60 or "contribute much to the kin."
I think that she contributed far more than any of us could ever have imagined. Her pure courage, her personality, her fear and openness, her heart.
One night Whynn and Tukarius and I made the run to Rivendell. I wanted to her to see it. As we traveled through the Lone Lands under the stars, Whynn was having a difficult time breathing. I told her to go on follow and just watch the scenery.
After a few minutes, she said to me, "I'm not afraid to die. I'm afraid of being forgotten." I promised her then that I would never forget her. And I never will.
We in the Windriders had the honor of hosting a very bright light for a very short time. Thank you all for bringing her into the heart of our kinship and thank you Whynn for joining us.
Sef
well said Sef. She will be
well said Sef. She will be missed but I will not forget her either. Truly a courageous young woman. May her memory be eternal
Whynn
I will miss this bright courageous young woman even though I only knew her for a short time, we had some long talks in IM's. I have some pics here will add them so she will be remembered which is all we ever really want.
I agree with Nav with the get together to show how much she will be missed.
